I actually love a plain can of San Marzano's used as marinara sauce! I'll usually add some oregano and garlic--which I am normally using anyway when I use pasta sauce, and I guess I like it really tomato-y!
I'm right there with you. This is actually very similar to the Edo's sauce vibe (no oregano that I know of), and since theirs is the best of all possible marinaras, I give this comment an A+.
I am equal parts delighted and relieved to hear that Grossy is the real deal IRL. We're definitely a Rao's family, but I'll occasionally reach for DelGrosso for something a little closer to my Nona's style.
Also- comment sections are too often a safe space for people to project and displace a lot of stress. Which ironically sometimes makes it a very unsafe space for the creators. I too hate a comment section gone garbage ball. #peoplearepeople
Rao's Arrabbiata Sauce - and yes, its expensive. But it's perfect - and it's what I buy everyone in my family for Christmas! ;) They all know it's coming, and get so excited every year.
I once saw Stephanie Ganz eat Rao’s, so now I eat Rao’s.
Are you listening, Rao's??? If so, please send me a velour tracksuit. https://www.entrepreneur.com/business-news/raos-is-dropping-limited-edition-loungewear-for-the/466030

Yes, Grossy is a delight in any format! Never tried DelGrosso, but I love Nonna's style anything, so this is gtk!

Truly! I'm looking forward, hopefully, to a time when we collectively push back on that and post only the warmest, kindest comments imaginable.

Now that's how you do a holiday present exchange! Excellent work.
